HEY THERE, I’M RYONA COMPAGNINO

Welcome to my blog! My name is Ryona Compagnino, a recent business graduate from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. I’m a creative currently residing in Singapore. Writer, Photographer, Editor, Model, Web Designer are just some titles that I hold. My work is dedicated to documenting and sharing parts of my life’s adventure through photographs of people, food and places.

Over the past year, I’ve (tried to) write weekly for college students and individuals who would love to improve themselves! I hope that you have been loving what you’re seeing so far!

After graduation, I’ve done a complete revamp on the website (which you can see now) and streamlined topics to be discussed on this site. From Nov 2021, the topics we will uncover together are productivity, lifestyle and self care. I’m excited for you to discover new experiences and go through them together, one step at a time. Perhaps, you’ll even discover your new passions in the process!

SOME FACTS ABOUT ME

I am a recent business graduate from NTU, Singapore. So, this senior here has some of the best tips and tricks up her sleeves, for you to navigate the most exciting chapter of your lives, university. Hint: I was a college student who survived university without a drop of coffee, although, I not sure how I managed it either 🤷 Pro-Tip: I love going to Starbucks to get tea because it is cheaper than coffee and that I can always get a hot water refill when I am studying. Voila! A new cuppa tea 🍵 As a result, I can stay for the entire day guilt-free 🌚

I believe that staying organised is a form of taking care yourself. Which I try to do so using a physical bullet journal. I know what you’re thinking (How old school.). I can’t help but love my trusty pen and journal which gives me the opportunity to be creative outside of the serious things. You can see what I am up to here.

The one movie that I will never get sick of watching is The Devil Wears Prada, starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. Their roles were wonderfully portrayed by the actresses. I absolutely loved the acting, screenplay and the badass females in this film. Spoiler ahead! Although, I would have loved for Andrea to stay in her role because I feel that there is still so much that she could have learnt from Miranda, I understand why she left too.

Reading is another interest of mine. My favourite book series has got to be the Cinder series by Marissa Meyer, a story about a half Cyborg living in New Beijing and the role that she played with her counterparts in saving life on Earth. This book intrigued me from the beginning since it references some of the fairytales, Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, and Snow White while still offering a fresh tale in a made-believe world. As for non-fiction books, Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg is definitely close to the top of my list as she discusses her struggles of balancing work while being a mum. In her book, she gives anecdotes of her journey navigating the business world as a woman and I think it is awe-inspiring that she stood her ground and used her position to help many other ladies out there who aren’t as privilege as she is.

I enjoy talking to people, so do drop me a message using the contact me below or email me at ✉️ helloryonanna@gmail.com and hopefully we can get a conversation going! I’ll do my best to answer any questions that you might have

WHY I STARTED RYONANNA.COM

Writing was a past time which began as a young child. In fact, from the age of 10, I started tinkering on numerous free sites such as Blogspot.

It was until the summer of 2020, did I bring up a word document to start blogging again. This time with a purpose.

My main objective of RYONANNA.COM is to document my life’s adventures and help me to reflect on the things I have done. I have faith that I will be able to learn more about myself through this blogging experience.

At the same time, I hope that YOU, my dear reader, can learn something from my experiences and become inspired by some of the work that I’ve done.

My life’s motto is to have no regrets in trying something I have always wanted to try. So, I’ve decided to just go with it and mustered the courage to post my first article in July 2020.

Take that first step in anything you want to do! Remember to live a life with no regrets 🙂
