Wow how is it that 2/3 of the 2020 is upon us. That’s insane.
For the month of August, I did up a very minimalist spread.
Cover Page
I did up a very simple cover page. The word “August” was to denote the month and I just highlighted across with three lines.
CALENDAR
I hardly use my calendar so it tends to be done up minimally. For this month, I really like the idea of having a mini-calendar in the spread which was inspired by @booksofnotes on Instagram.
I love how it looks cute and dainty!
Any important dates will be written at the bottom if needed.
MASTER TASK LIST
Any important projects, appointments, major events or things which needs to be completed this month can be included here.
DEBIT CREDIT TRACKER
This is an upgraded version of my expense tracker from July. Last month, I realized that fully keeping track and making sure that what is in my wallet/ bank is supposed to be the correct amount was tough.
Therefore, I decided to track the amount of money I have at the start and end of the month. I will make use of the debit/ credit tracker.
This is akin to the balance sheet in accounting. The beginning inventory is how much money I have at the beginning. The ending inventory is how much money I have at the end of the month.
So do let me know in the comments below if you want me to explain this expense tracking system in more detail!
Which is why I’ve also added an additional column to the tracker system, indicating whether it is a bank or cash transaction.
At the end of the month, cross-checking should ensure that you have arrived at the right ending balance in your wallet/ bank account.
Disclaimer: For safety reasons, I wouldn’t advise writing your account balance physically onto your BUJO. Instead, crosscheck your bank statements with the credit/ debit tracker. This is for illustration purposes.
I’ll let you guys know about what I think of this new system in the next BUJO post!
WEEKLY SPREADS
Finally, my weekly spreads for the incoming week. I’m currently experimenting with different layouts each week.
I will be updating each weekly spreads, 2 weeks in advance so be sure to come back EVERY WEEK for more inspiration!
