NASTY COOKIE – HOMEGROWN SINGAPORE, INSPIRED BY NEW YORK JUMBO COOKIES

Yummy Cookies anyone?

I chanced upon Nasty Cookie in Orchard Gateway and finally got my hands on some fancy Cookies that was all over my Insta feed.

There are no special criteria this time when it comes to trying out the cookies. From the soft Subway cookies (Their raspberry cheesecake yum) to the crunchy Famous Amos cookies. There are all sorts of cookies popular in Singapore!

NASTY COOKIE

Nasty Cookie was established – sinfully created as the founder puts it – in October 2018. It was largely inspired by Jumbo New York gourmet cookies.

What started as a side hustle, turned full-fledged business. Nasty Cookie is identifiable by its signature Tiffany Blue subway themed store and currently boasts three stores in Singapore. One of which, the Kaki Bukit Store is a café where diners can sit in to enjoy their cookies and milkshakes. The other two storefronts are situated at Orchard Gateway and Funan Mall.

Their flavours include

  • Banoffee Walnut Cookie
  • B.O.B (Biscoff Oreo Brownie)
  • Rocky Road
  • Cookies n Creme Cheesecake
  • White Choc Macadamia
  • OH! Smores
  • Red Velvet Crumble
  • Matcha Mania
  • Dark Choc Chip
  • Chocolate Chip
  • Choco Bueno
  • Biscoff Cookie

All the cookies are priced at SGD 5.50 each. If you get them in boxes of 6, they are SGD 30 per box.

I must admit, I had a hard time choosing because they all sound so delicious.

TASTE TEST

We decided to get two cookies, the Red Velvet Crumble and the Cookies n Creme Cheesecake which came with the little sporks (Spoon-Forks).

Both cookies were such thicc and sweet cookies. Even though, we chose not to pick the ones which we know are definitely going to be too sweet (e.g. Oh! Smores).

My favourite has to be the Red Velvet Crumble because the cream cheese was a nice complement to the taste of the cookie. But Cookies n Creme does not disappoint either, especially if you have an insanely sweet tooth! Then that might be the cookie for you.

Although, I would eat the cookies on the spot. I would recommend not to tabao [takeaway] and keep it for too long. Otherwise, it gets a bit lou feng [stale].

If you are craving a sweet snack, Nasty Cookies definitely have something to offer with their wide range of cookie selections.

OTHER MERCHANDISE

If you thought that they only got cookies, you are mistaken! Nasty Cookie also has a whole range of merchandise that you can purchase! They include

  • Nasty Tumblr
  • Graphic T-shirts
  • Socks
  • Caps
  • Iron On patches and Metal Badges
  • Masks (Very handy in this COVID times and in the very beautiful shade of Tiffany Blue)
  • Even Pajamas (Decorated with cookies and Milkshake! Which would probably give me some cravings in the middle of the night)

CONCLUSION

As someone who loves cookies, this crumbly cookie is well on top of my list to try. Aside from being a nice little snack to have, I really love the modern twist to it and the fact that it is super instagrammable. Such pretty cookies that I didn’t even want to eat!

Just a lil’ reminder to head over only during your cheat day. I have no qualms that this sweetness will stay in your body a little longer than you hope for. Definitely worth a try!
